- To find three quality sources, you should plan to review at least 5 – 10 times that many (that is, read at least the abstract and introduction — enough to get an idea of whether the source is helpful, substantial, different from others you consult, etc.);
- Summarise the contents of each source on the assumption that your reader isn’t familiar with same but may use your summary to decide whether to use the source him-/ herself;
- Likewise, in explaining the relevance of each source, essentially, answer this question: what is this source giving or telling me that I can’t find anywhere else?
